‘The truth is I absolutely hated them’: Lisa Jordan on having her breast implants removed

'They had such a negative effect on my mental and physical health.'

Anna O'Rourke

“I don’t want girls to look at me and think, oh I love her boobs.”

Lisa Jordan has shared her experience of regretting her breast implants.

The blogger told fans that she recently had them removed after growing to dislike them.

Though she was initially happy with them, she said in an Instagram post, they ended up negatively affecting her mental and physical health.

While she doesn’t disagree with people having cosmetic procedures, she continued, she wanted to highlight the downside.

“I feel like no one talks about the negatives? I can’t be alone?,” she wrote.

“Did you know breast implants have been linked to causing problems in (some) patients where the body’s immune system reacts to the implants (it’s called BII — breast implant illness), and although I hated them more so because of how they looked on my small frame, I was also suffering different symptoms from BII that has only come to light in the last few years.

“I’m not here trying to put anyone off the idea of getting implants, it’s a very personal choice, nor am I trying to scare who has them or change anyone’s mind but I just want to be truthful about my journey and say honestly, ‘I WISH I NEVER GOT THEM’.

Lisa told followers that she already feels physically and emotionally better having had the implants removed.

“I am so happy being back to my natural self. I understand some people do it for medical reasons or may just want their boobs bigger or higher, etc and that’s absolutely fine.”

In an update over the weekend, Lisa told followers that she’d never felt more comfortable in her own skin.

“I wish I had removed my implants sooner… the difference it’s made to my mind, body and over all being is just amazing.”
