“I’m Very Lucky” – Sports Star Weds Fiancé In Lush Ceremony

Cyclist Victoria Pendleton tied the knot with her fiancé Scott Gardner in front of family, friends and athletes over the weekend.

The Olympic champion wed the former Team GB coach at Colshaw Hall according to HELLO! which has the rights to the photographs.

Victoria, who appeared on Strictly Come Dancing following her medal-winning performance at the 2012 Olympic Games, told the magazine: “Seeing Scott at the top of the aisle is an image I’ll keep in my mind forever.”

The 32-year-old sports star added: “I’m very lucky to have met him. If I hadn’t have done sport, our paths would never have crossed.”

It was a sentiment echoed by Scott who met his new wife when he became a performance scientist for Team GB cyclists (let’s just say their relationship didn’t go down too well at the time).

He gushed: “The day was amazing, brilliant, beautiful. I was just blown away by how she looked. It was the vintage look, the shape of her body, the smile on her face.”

The couple got married at the weekend.
