Instagram Of The Day: Glee Star Has An Adorable New Companion

Lea Michele has adopted a Pomeranian mix dog named Pearl.

The actress posted three photos on Twitter of her new pet, who already looks to be making friends with Lea’s black cat Sheila.

How adorable is Pearl!

"Today I would like to introduce you to Pearl," the singer wrote in a caption to one of the photos.

"She's 8 years old and is my new little love...Welcome Pearl!"

Next to a black-and-white photo of herself with her new animal she wrote, 'Pearl's first photo shoot.' And by a photo of her cat and dog together she wrote, 'My girls :).'

The 26-year-old is still coming to terms with the loss of her boyfriend Cory Monteith who passed away from an accidental overdose of heroin and alcohol in July.

American TV network FOX aired a tribute episode to the Glee star last Thursday entitled The Quarterback in which Lea (Rachel Berry) sang a spine-tingling version of Bod Dylan’s Make You Feel My Love.

The pair are already fast friends

Cory played Finn in the hit TV series Glee; he and Lea were a couple both on and off screen for his character Finn was Rachel’s boyfriend.

“For me personally, I’ve lost two people: Cory and [his character] Finn,” Lea said recently. “We had a beautiful memorial for Cory in the auditorium and some of the cast members sang and people spoke about him. … It only felt right that we would do the same thing for Finn, so I felt it was very therapeutic.”

“I really woke up every single day feeling like I was … in some sort of spell or something, that I was lucky enough to have him in my life,” the star added. “There was no greater man than Cory, so for the time we spent together, I consider myself very lucky.”
