It’s official.

Irish footballer Aaron Connolly has confirmed his romance with Love Island star Lucinda Strafford is back on officially.

The pair had been rumoured to have gotten back together but it wasn’t until now that Aaron made them Instagram official.

The pair split earlier this year before Lucinda headed into the Love Island villa, but have since decided to rekindle their romance after Lucinda was dumped from the villa.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Aaron shared a snap of himself and Lucinda dressed up for Halloween, going as Hugh Heffner and a Playboy bunny.

Lucinda told OK! Magazine in September: “So, yeah, we are sort of talking again. We’re seeing where things go, we’re not back together as such but we’re taking it step by step.

“I came out the villa. It didn’t work out between me and Aaron [Francis], it was very reciprocated where we both said: ‘Maybe not, maybe we’re better friends’.

“And then, obviously I met Brad [McClelland] a couple of times and that sort of fizzled out as well. I feel like maybe there was a reason it didn’t work in the villa so it wasn’t going to work outside. Then, obviously, I was single and [Aaron] sort of reached out… We’re just sort of chatting again. It’s nothing too serious at all.”

Lucinda also added that she wasn’t seeing anyone else at the time but it was still early days in their relationship.

Also indicating that her stint on the reality show was another reason the pair got back together, Lucinda previously dated Brad McLelland on the show but moved on to Aaron Francis after Brad got dumped from the villa.

Aaron plays for Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion, as well as the Republic of Ireland national team.
