“Our mother was an incredible woman”
Ivana Trump has died at the age of 73.
The ex-wife of Donald Trump passed away at her home in New York City.
Ivana’s family issued a statement to ABC News after her death.
“Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and a caring mother and friend.”
“Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country.”
Her family added, “She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination.”
Donald Trump also issued a statement following the death of his first wife.
The Former President said his first wife lived an “inspirational life”.
“I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City,” he shared.
“She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life.
Trump added, “Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr, Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!”
Trump married Ivana in 1977, but they divorced in 1992.
They shared three children together- Donald Trump Jr, Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump.
Police in New York responded to a call at 12.30 pm. They found Ivana in her home on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
Ivana’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
Officials stated that she died from natural causes.
