Jason Derulo has revealed that he and Jordin Sparks split due to mounting pressure and tension in their relationship.
The ‘Talk Dirty’ singer spoke about the decision to call it quits on their three year relationship, telling KIIS-FM:
“There was a lot of tension in our relationship for a lot of different reasons. There was a lot of pressure of marriage. There was a lot of arguing…stuff that would weigh on our relationship over time.
“When you stop having more good times than bad times, that’s when it’s time to call it quits.”
The pair shocked fans with news of their split late last week, but both Derulo and Sparks have maintained it was a mutual decision.
Speaking about his ex-girlfriend, Derulo said:
“I spent three great years with Jordin and she is one of the most amazing people that I have ever met […] Infidelity, cheating or deceit played no part in our relationship or our break-up, and I hope that people respect our privacy as we move forward with our lives.”
