She enjoyed her first day out over the weekend.

Jenny McCarthy has revealed she is finally feeling better after having surgery to remove a brain tumour earlier this month.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the photographer shared an image of herself ready for a day out with her husband, Virgin Media presenter Martin King.

“Gonna go out for the first time today with Martin,” she told her followers. “Feeling a good bit better today.”

She added: “Loving my new dress!”

The couple later snapped a selfie together, sharing that they had enjoyed their day out. They also thanked the restaurant for a “lovely evening”.

Jenny has been openly sharing her journey with brain surgery and the road to recovery online.

Recently, she revealed she had been suffering from severe headaches since the procedure and hadn’t expected the after-effects to be so bad.

On her Instagram Stories, she said: “I’m just coming on to let you all know how I’m recovering from brain surgery almost two weeks ago, so many of you asking.

“Unfortunately, I had to go back into hospital last week because of nausea and severe headaches. I can’t begin to explain how painful the headaches have been.”

Just a few days before, she had been forced to return to Beaumont hospital for the intense pain.

She asked people to say a prayer for her and admitted she was surprised to have had to come back.

Thankfully, she was sent home just a few days later. She admitted she was hoping she would never have to go back, before thanking her followers for all of their support and well-wishes in recent weeks.

Jenny previously had a brain tumour removed successfully back in 2011. Late last year, she confirmed that she had been for a brain scan and unfortunately received the diagnosis that the tumour had returned.
