He’s one of the biggest names in music and married to one of the wealthiest families in Hollywood, so people were a little shocked when Kanye announced on Twitter that he’s $53 million in personal debt.

Taking to Twitter following a performance on Saturday Night Live promoting his new album The Life of Pablo, Kanye revealed to fans that he is in serious personal debt:

He then went on to ask for help from the rest of Silicon Valley, and San Francisco’s wealthy, tweeting:

While Yeezy himself hasn’t commented on the reason behind his financial woes, the star has previously admitted that his fashion designing was be behind his fortune downturn.

According to Jezebel, Kanye previously admitted that his Yeezy clothing line had cost him $16million in debt, while his women’s clothing line, Consequence of Sound, saw the rapper face debts of $30million in 2014.
