Katie Holmes Spotted Out and About For First Time Following News of Divorce

Katie Holmes has been spotted for the first time since it was announced she was filing for divorce from husband Tom Cruise.

 More importantly she stepped out without her wedding band and the huge engagement ring she has been wearing for the last five years during her marriage to Cruise.

This appearance comes after numerous reports that Holmes left the Top Gun star through fear their daughter Suri was going to be sent off to some sort of Scientology camp.

The actress was reportedly filming for television show Project Runway: All Stars and looked surprisingly upbeat despite the events that have been unfolding in her personal life.

Meanwhile Cruise, who celebrates his fiftieth birthday today, was snapped looking downhearted in Iceland where he is filming for his new movie.

While we’re glad to see Katie in good spirits we can’t help but feel sorry for Tom.
