She is pulling back.

Kim Kardashian has reportedly turned down a huge deal with Balenciaga in the midst of the controversy surrounding a recent ad campaign.

As the fashion house faces huge controversy over their Spring 2023 campaign, Balenciaga were forced to release a statement apologising for their latest campaign as it included images of young children holding teddy bears dressed in bondage.

One image also showed paperwork about a Supreme Court ruling on child pornography on a table and the images have since been removed following the backlash.

Despite having other major deals with the brand and being a loyal supporter of them, Kim has now been “re-evaluating” her relationship with Balenciaga since the scandal.

TMZ has reported that they approached the TV star with an offer prior to the campaign being released but she has since declined once it was put out.

She also been reported to have gotten rid of many of their outfits she had planned to wear to upcoming events and is now in contact with other designers.

Kim released a statement following the controversy, saying: “I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been disgusted and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened.

“As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images. The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society — period.

“I appreciate Balenciaga’s removal of the campaigns and apology. In speaking with them, I believe they understand the seriousness of the issue and will take the necessary measures for this to never happen again.

“As for my future with Balenciaga, I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with — & the actions I am expecting to see them take to protect children.”
