Kimberley Walsh teases Girls Aloud reunion to celebrate milestone anniversary

Kimberley Walsh has teased a Girls Aloud reunion in 2022 to mark the band’s 20th anniversary.

The band were first formed in 2002 on Popstars: The Rivals. They went on to release five albums, before announcing their hiatus in 2009.

After a brief reunion in 2012 for a UK tour and their greatest hits album Ten, they confirmed they had split.

However, in a new interview, Kimberley has hinted that a Girls Aloud reunion could be on the cards for the band’s 20th anniversary in 2022.

“We do have an anniversary coming up,” Kimberley told The Sun. “It will have been 20 years in 2022, it’s a long way off still. Everybody is busy at the moment, but I have a lot of love for all the girls, I’m proud of all of them.

“All the songs feel like a distant memory, but if I hear them then I think they’re good. I’m glad I still get to spend time with the girls and see them.”

It comes as Nicola Roberts also addressed the possibility of a reunion – and it looks like she’s on board, too.

“I would love to get back with the girls and us put on a show, and just put it on for the fans really. That was our favourite thing to do, was to do a show,” she said during an appearance on This Morning, following her victory on The Masked Singer UK. get

“So I think that we just have to cross that bridge when the anniversary comes and see where we all are.”
