The golden couple of Game of Thrones have welcomed a son!
Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie have welcomed their first child together.
The actors are a little more on the secretive side when it comes to their private life, but a representative for the couple told E! News this week they’re “very, very happy.”
Kit and Rose played lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte on Game of Thrones. According to rumours they started dating in 2012 and the real life romance has come to life over the last nine years. The pair eventually married in Scotland in 2018 in a castle which belonged to Rose’s family.
Leslie confirmed the pregnancy back in September in an interview with Make Magazine where she spoke about her life in the country side in the UK after spending years living with Kit in New York.
Speaking about the Tudor Manor House the couple now live in in East Anglia, she said: “It’s incredibly old. We have a thatched roof, which currently has an enormous hornet’s nest in it.
“I do love to think about the house and all the people who have lived there. Were they happy, how did they live? All the families passing under those ancient beams.
“What a glorious thing to be able to run to the countryside and recoup. It’s a great privilege to be surrounded by greenery, birdsong and hedgerows, and our delightful neighbours. It’s so peaceful.”
Kit told InStyle magazine back in 2019 that he was ready to start a family with his wife, telling the magazine: “The most important job I’ll ever have is about to finish. Well, not the most. Hopefully, I’ll be a father.”
A few other celebrities have welcomed babies over the last while. Comedian Kristen Wiig welcomed twins, Mindy Kaling had a little boy and actress Emma Roberts also had a little boy.
There are also a few babies on the way, with singer Halsey announcing her pregnancy a few weeks ago and Meghan Markle being the latest celebrity to share her good news.
