“I wanted things to work out”
Love Island‘s Laura Anderson has revealed that she wanted to mend her relationship with ex, Gary Lucy, after they split but the relationship is now “too chaotic”.
The couple announced they were expecting their first child earlier this year but shortly after that, they split.
The 34-year-old mum-to-be is currently 25 weeks pregnant and due in August.
In a recent interview, she opened up and said she wanted to get back together with 41-year-old Gary Lucy, but now, the relationship between the two is not a priority.
She said now her only focus is having her baby girl.
In that recent interview and photoshoot, Laura shut down rumours that the pair split because she wanted to move to Scotland.
Rumours sparked that Gary and Laura split because he wanted to stay in England instead of moving to Scotland but Laura confirmed they are false.
It was reported that Gary wouldn’t leave England because of his other children. He shares four kids with his ex-wife, Natasha Gray.

She’s had a tough time.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Laura said: “I wanted us to reconcile and I wanted things to work out, but because of things I found out since then, and the fact nothing has been discussed or resolved.
“I think for now I’m trying to just be positive and think about the baby and be strong, because everything became too chaotic.”
Things have been very tumultuous following their split.
Laura previously said she was “very upset” when Gary revealed the sex of their baby back in March “without her consent”.
During that time, she said they were definitely “not on good terms”.
In that post, the Hollyoaks star showed a photo of the baby scan and pink crown. He wrote: “Daddy’s girl.
“For everyone that’s been asking… let’s hope she inherits her mummy’s looks.”
Gary also wrote: “Thanks for all the lovely messages from everyone… so excited to meet my little baby bear soon!”
Laura was not at all happy with this unexpected upload.
