“You need to take a hard look at yourself.”

Last week Laura Whitmore revealed the exciting news that she and Iain Stirling are expecting a baby together.

And now, she has had to call out trolls who have criticised her recent pregnancy photoshoot.

Laura took to her Instagram over the weekend to thank fans for their support, and address those who were “offended” by her posts.

“Thanks for all the love this week. To the people who are offended by a pregnant woman’s body and someone taking control of their own narrative, you need to take a hard look at yourself,” she said.

“Ask yourself why you choose to put negativity out into the world? Maybe, just maybe, you can change your mindset, become a better person (I do have hope) and make the world a little nicer.”

“I’m more than happy to call out people and will continue to do so,” she went on.

“But I also bloody love the community I have here. Sometimes the few negatives get more attention than they should. We all have a responsibility and I love that I have a voice that I can use and I appreciate so many wonderful folk who do the same to lift others.”

Last week it was reported that the Love Island presenter married boyfriend Stirling in a secret ceremony in Dublin.

Following this, Laura announced the news of the pregnancy on Instagram, alongside a photo of a babygrow.

“So I’ve always tried to be protective over the personal side of my life,” she said. “A lot of things are just for me and my loved ones and we’ve chosen not to share publicly.”

“However I want to now share good news as it’s our news to share – and I’m gonna be honest it’s starting to look like my lock down beer belly is out of control.

“Iain and I are expecting a baby early 2021. It’s been hard to keep such happy news quiet.”
