Limerick lad Greg O’Shea was thinking of marriage before Love Island

We've another Irish Islander in the villa.

Light night, as Joanna left, we were told three new Islanders were entering the house. India Renoylds, Harley Brash and 24-year-old Limerick lad, Greg O'Shea. Bringing the number of Irish Islanders back up to two since Yewande's departure, Greg O'Shea probably didn't see himself entering the villa around this time last year. The pro rugby player revealed he was previously saving for a ring to marry his ex girlfriend.

"I saw myself marrying the last girl I was with, I was saving up for a ring but she called it a day after our lives together just didn't work out."

Greg's relationship with his ex girlfriend ended last year and the new contestant admits he's been single ever since - only really dating in the past six months.

"I didn't date anyone for six months after we broke up so have only been open to getting out there again in the past few months."

In terms of what's ahead in the villa? Well, Greg fancies Maura, which is handy enough geographically.

"I need to get in the villa and see what the story is and who is good craic!" he says. "I’d say me and Maura will hit it off straight away, being two Irish people and she’s hilarious. She’s very naturally funny and she’s gorgeous as well so you never know."
