Actress Aoibhinn McGinnity has landed a part in a new American TV show.
The 28-year-old, who shot to fame playing Trish in RTÉ drama Love Hate, will star in HBO series Quarry.
The new show is based on a series of novels written by Max Allan Collins, telling the story of a man who returns home from Vietnam after serving in the Marines.
He gets caught up in a network of corruption and ends up working as a professional sniper.

An insider said: “The show stars Logan Marshall-Green, Peter Mullan and Jodi Balfour and is being made by Cinemax for HBO.
“It has already been green-lit for eight episodes”.
Aoibhinn is to play the love interest of one of the gang leaders and she is currently filming in New Orleans and Tennessee.
