Iconic behaviour.

Love Island announced a whole load of new contestants for the upcoming 2022 season, and when Andrew Le Page was named, a viral tweet appeared alongside him.

The 27-year-old real estate agent from Guernsey was one of the 11 contestants announced, and below the tweet announcing him as one od the new cast, a reply went viral.

One Twitter user claimed that Andrew looked like the man who stole her daughter’s handbag in Sainsbury’s back in March.

Carol McGee asked the Love Island account to confirm where Andrew was on March 12, and insisted that he was the perpetrator.

As Andrew awaits to go into the villa, his own accounts are being run by his family and they addressed the speculations on his behalf.

Joking about the meme, they wrote: “In all seriousness though, we can confirm that Andrew was in Dubai on 12th March when Carol’s daughter’s bag was stolen – we hope you find the perpetrator soon Carol.”

Carol originally wrote below the post: “He looks like the man who stole my daughter’s handbag in Sainsburys.”

She then continued, replying to another tweet, saying: “Can you confirm please if he was in Bristol Sainsburys on March 12 loveisland.”

Raking in thousands of likes, it wasn’t long before the tweet was all over social media.

Speaking about why he initially wanted to go onto Love Island, Andrew said: “Because I’m actually single for once, so I thought why not? This is the best time to give it a go.”

When asked what makes him a good partner, he added: “When I’m with someone I’m very loyal, I’m a good boyfriend as when I’m with someone I’m all for them.”
