Love Island star Remi Lambert accuses Jacques O’Neill’s friend of assaulting him

They were on the 2022 series together.

Love Island star Remi Lambert has claimed that he was punched by a friend of fellow islander Jacques O’Neill after being followed home.

The 23 year old took to Instagram stories on Sunday to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the alleged assault.

Remi claimed he was walking home from a nightclub over the weekend when he was followed by Jacques and his friends.

The two appeared together on the eighth season of Love Island last year.

Remi said that Jacques started an argument with him about something that had gone down during their time on the ITV series, before claiming he was then punched by one of Jacques’ friends.

He then said he believes the punch was premeditated and they were trying to provoke a reaction from him.

Remi wrote: “Wasn’t going to bring this up but this has gone too far now.

“Last night I was assaulted by one of Jacque’s friends. Jacques and him followed me on my walk back home from the club and stopped me.

“Then Jacques began to start an argument about the Love Island beef that was a year ago. Clearly can’t move on.

“Out of nowhere his friend punched me.

“I think it was a setup to get me to react but I’m too mature for this bs.

“If anyone saw anything last night please message me.”

Then, in a separate post of a rainy street, Remi added: “karma will get you.”

Remi previously spoke about how Jacques had “ruined” his time on the show after an argument the two had gotten into.

During an appearance on the YouTube series Reality with Will Njobvu, Remi said: “There was a lot of stuff that wasn’t aired – a lot of stuff going on.

“So basically – me and Jacques got into quite a lot of arguments and it just made my experience s**t. It ruined it for me.”

He continued: “People were saying, ‘It’s because he’s got a rugby persona’ – but you can’t treat people like that.”
