Love Island’s Chloe and Toby respond to split rumours

Katy Brennan

Rumours that the two had went their separate ways began to circulate last month.

Love Island’s Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran have shut down rumours of a break-up.

On Tuesday evening, both stars took to their Instagram stories to share a series of images and videos of them enjoying a date night together – playing golf at TopGolf.

After losing to Toby, Chloe later shared a snap of him with a caption saying the game was “fixed”.

It comes as fans feared the two had split for good when they went six weeks without posting about each other on social media.

Chloe and Toby first met on Love Island 2021 and quickly became fan favourites, before finishing second place on the ITV show.

After leaving the villa, they moved in to their dream home together and consistently shared their journey with followers on social media.

But last month, The Sun reported that their relationship was going downhill.

A source said: “Chloe and Toby really love each other but their relationship has come under some strain in recent weeks.

“They are both really busy with work, so they haven’t seen as much of each other, and there is the added pressure of transferring a reality TV romance into everyday life.

“It’s not easy. They are still talking regularly and hoping to work things out.

“It’s encouraging that they are communicating and who knows, perhaps taking a bit of time apart will make them much stronger in the end?”

“Only time will tell, but neither of them wants to admit defeat. They don’t want people to see their romance as another reality TV casualty, because they’ve always been the real deal as a couple.”
