Love Island’s Coco explains why she left Married at First Sight

She’s spilling all.

Love Island star Coco Lodge has revealed the real reason she decided to quit Married at First Sight to instead go into the Love Island villa.

While she may not have been there long, Coco definitely made her presence in the villa known after she came in as a bombshell, coupling up with Andrew Le Page before he ultimately go back with Tasha Ghouri.

It emerged last month during the series that Coco was actually meant to be heading onto Married at First Sight UK but gave up her spot to go onto the ITV series.

Revealing why she decided to opt for Love Island instead, Coco explained all in her latest YouTube Q&A video.

One of the fans asked: “Do you regret not going on Married At First Sight?” And she responded: “Not at all.”

Coco explained: “I would still love to do it but I don’t regret not doing it. I was not in the headspace to do it.

“I didn’t choose Love Island over it, I was just not in the right headspace to do Married at First Sight at the time.

“So I went to Thailand and focused on me, then I came back and got offered Love Island.”

Going on to say she would “absolutely” still do it if the offer was there, she was adamant that she doesn’t regret her decision as her “headspace was not there.”

Also speaking about any “regrets” she had during Love Island, she admitted: “I kind of regret going into Casa Amor.

“Not that you get a choice, you don’t, and I kind of thought I’d be going in early when I first got the call back.

“However, you know, when Casa Amor came up I was like ‘everything happens for a reason’.

“I haven’t done too badly but I feel like people initially just don’t like you, just because you’re in Casa Amor – even though you don’t get a choice and I’m not really the ‘steal your man’ kind of girl.

“That’s just where I got put so it’s what I had to do… that would probably be my only regret.”
