The pair had been in an on-again/off-again relationship for three years before she was cast in Love Island.
Love Island star Lucinda Stafford and Aaron Connolly have reportedly called time on their relationship once more.
Lucinda dated Aaron, who is an Irish footballer, before she joined the dating reality show last summer. It’s understood that they had an on/off relationship for three years prior to Lucinda’s stint on Love Island. They subsequently rekindled their relationship after coming out of the villa, but, as The Sun reports, they have split up again.
A source told the tabloid: “Everyone thought Lucinda and Aaron would make a real go of things this time around.
“Aaron was pretty cut up when she decided to do Love Island but they moved on from it and seemed stronger than ever.
“In the end they just couldn’t make it and have decided it would be better for both of them if they remained single.”
Speculation that the pair had split came after fans noticed that they no longer followed each other on social media.
Additionally, when asked about her relationship status during a recent Q&A on Instagram, Lucinda said that she was focused on loving “me, myself and I”.
Previously, Lucinda shared that they broke up in March 2021, and denied rumours that they only broke up because she had been cast in the show.
She previously said: “I am completely and utterly single. Never in a million years would I go on Love Island if I was in a relationship, and I’m sure if I had a boyfriend, he wouldn’t be very happy with it either.”
