“Enough is enough”

Majella O’Donnell has taken to Twitter with a strongly-worded message for Eamonn Holmes amid the ongoing Phillip Schofield drama.

In recent weeks, Holmes has been very outspoken about his dislike of Schofield following the news of his affair with a younger member of the This Morning team.

Schofield resigned from ITV after publicly admitting he had lied about the affair with a younger colleague on the daytime show.

Holmes quickly labelled Phil and his This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby a “pair of actors”, before he launched a scathing attack on Schofield expressing his disbelief at the idea that the presenter had “stepped down” from his role.

Eamonn claimed that four members of ITV management had known “what sort of man he [Schofield] was.”

He also denied having any knowledge of the affair, hitting out at Schofield for “deceiving and lying to” him and his wife Ruth Langsford while they worked together.

On Monday, Majella O’Donnell took to Twitter to say “enough is enough” and branded the host “toxic” for not considering the mental health of those involved in the scandal.

She wrote: “Enough is enough! Talk about toxic!! Eamon you are extremely toxic now! It’s obvious u don’t care about people’s mental health.

“He made a mistake & apologised. Move on. Are you perfect? You most certainly are not so be a professional & SHUT UP!!”

Among the responses to her message was on user who wrote: “You tell him, majellah, im tired of hearing about it to just move on.

Another described Holmes as “a dog with a bone”.
