Maya Jama reportedly quits other presenting job due to Love Island success

Love Island is doing her good.

Brand new Love Island host Maya Jama has seen huge success since her era on the show began, so much so it looks like she’s quitting her other presenting gig.

Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star first aired back in 2019 with Stacey Dooley at the helm for the first two seasons and saw make up artists compete in different challenges.

Maya then took over the presenter role for the third and fourth seasons but following the huge success her series of Love Island has seen, it’s been reported that Maya may quit Glow Up.

“Maya loved her time hosting Glow Up for the last two series but has decided now not to return for another run,” a source told The Sun.

“It was a really difficult decision but she’s going to be really busy doing two series of Love Island this year and couldn’t make it work.

“She’s also gone down such a storm on Love Island that demand for her has gone through the roof and her diary outside of filming the show is absolutely jam-packed.”

The BBC is said to be “gutted” about the decision and currently are looking out for her replacement.

Maya took to Instagram following her debut on the ITV dating show and shared a post to thank her fans for the support they showed her after the series aired.

Posting pictures of herself in the now iconic black cut out dress, she wrote: “Overwhelmed from last night, thankyou so much for you’re kind words.”

“Who’s ready for tonight’s episode ??”
