The Queen and Meghan Markle are becoming great friends.

Last week, The Duchess of Sussex and Queen Elizabeth embarked on their first royal event as a duo.

They traveled to Cheshire to meet a Syrian settlement group and local performers from a theatre group.

And needless to say, the pair looked like they had a great time.

Meghan and Elizabeth II laughed and chatted like old friends, becoming the ultimate power duo.

And this morning we learned that their friendship goes beyond a few laughs in public.

Apparently Meghan Markle has a sweet nickname for her Grandmother-in-law.

According to the editor of Majesty magazine, Meghan refers to the Queen as “Mama, rather than the traditional “Ma’am.

Seems pretty intimate for the two, leading us to believe that a genuine friendship is blooming.

Speaking of blossoming friendships, the Queen recently invited Meghan Markle to spend the night on her private train.

This is a pretty major deal, especially when you consider the fact that Princes William, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton have never been extended the same invite.

That’s right, the future King of England has not spent the night on the Queen’s train with her… but her gal pal Meg has.

When you consider just how many rules come with joining the royal family, we think Meghan Markle is nailing it.
