Meghan Markle’s family drama has sparked headlines once again after estranged members sat down for a tell-all interview – revealing why the Dutchess cut them off.

Sitting down with Australia’s 7NEWS Spotlight, Markle’s father Thomas Snr, her half-sister Samantha and half-brother Thomas Jnr exposed more secrets during an explosive talk.

Samantha claimed they weren’t seen as ‘good enough’ for royalty when asked why they believed Meghan disassociated herself with them.

She said: “What she told the royal family, what she told Harry wouldn’t have jived, wouldn’t have been consistent with the truth”.

According to numerous media outlets, Meghan had cut contact with her dad’s side of the family back in 2018 .

This was after it was claimed that Thomas Snr had staged paparazzi photoshoots in the run up to her wedding.

In her father’s absence at the televised ceremony, King Charles stepped in to walk Meghan down the aisle.

Thomas Snr, 78, was visibly emotional as he opened up about his relationship with his daughter and said he hopes to reconnect in the future.

“I wish that we could sit down and talk. I wish we could work out our differences,” he said.

“She loved me. I’m her hero. And suddenly I was thrown out”.

As the interview went on, things became more heated and Samantha went as far as to slam her half-sister by claiming she “would still be a waitress if it wasn’t for dad”.

She then went on to brand the Duke and Duchess’s relationship as “toxic”.

“They are really unhealthy for each other,” Samantha said, before adding: “It’s a toxic relationship”.

Home videos

In a bid to prove that Meghan did have a close relationship with her dad before things took a turn, they provided Australia’s 7NEWS Spotlight with home videos.

They consisted of footage of Meghan playing baseball, as well as family weekends fishing at the lake, movie outings and dance lessons.

Journalist Liam Bartlett also brought up comments made by Prince Harry about Meghan having to mourn the loss of her father.

Thomas responded to them by saying: “She killed me and then mourned me”.

Thomas Jr was then questioned over who Meghan would have left if she lost her mother Doria – who is one of the only family members she now has a close relationship with.

Samantha said the fault lies on Harry for Meghan’s behaviour, and said the prince “avoids accountability”.

She went on to reiterate that they have a “toxic relationship” before adding that Meghan lacks “empathy, remorse or shame”.

Meanwhile her father, Thomas Sr, reached out to both Harry and Meghan at the end of the interview and said he loved them and was open to a reconciliation.
