Michael Bublé on why he doesn’t want to talk about son’s cancer battle

“The truth is…”

Michael Bublé has sent his fans a heartfelt thank you message as he addressed his young son’s battle with cancer.

The singer and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, have spent the last few years looking after their young son, Noah, as he battled liver cancer.

In the following two years since his diagnosis, Noah has thankfully made an incredible recovery – which led the Canadian singer to begin working on his music once again.

His new album, Love, is due out in November.

This week, he appeared on Smooth Radio to promote the album – and he also addressed why his family decided to keep the details of Noah’s cancer battle private for the most part.

He simply said:

“I don’t love talking about it, it’s too painful, really. The truth is, I haven’t been given permission from my little boy to go there.”

He went on to thank his fans for their support, recalling how they had given himself and his wife faith in humanity as they went through the difficult time.

He continued:

“You made us realise in the worst times that people are beautiful and caring and empathetic and kind.

“And the reason I am back here and even able to have a record, and come and entertain you is because of you. You showed me the love.

“When we were there in those times, you have no idea how you saved us. Because we knew you were praying for us, we got the messages and we could feel the outpouring of support, and I just want to say thank you.”
