Modern Family Star Sophie Vergara Said Her Son Scoffs When People Call Her Beautiful

Looking at Sophia Vergara, we feel nothing but jealousy. She may have a few years on us in the Her.ie offices but she is definitely one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood.

However, Sophia said her 20-year-old son Manolo doesn’t see it that way and often teases her when the world comments on her curvaceous figure and her enviable beauty and he never misses an opportunity to catch her out on a bad day.

Speaking to Glamour magazine, Sophia said: "Six months ago there was this internet story saying I was the third most beautiful woman, behind Mila Kunis and someone else who is, like 20 years younger than me.

"Then the next day, I'd just woken up - not looking my best, because I'd had a few drinks the night before - and he starts calling my boyfriend, going, 'Hey, come take a look at the third most beautiful woman in the world!'"

The actress has always valued her close relationship with her son after becoming a single mom when he was just one.

"We're very close because I got divorced when he was just one, so it's been the two of us," she said.

The actress is currently filming the fourth season of the hit comedy Modern Family but said that Manolo doesn’t see her as a big-shot Hollywood star.

“To him, I'm just normal. He thinks I'm crazy and annoying, like every other mom,” she said.
