There was a One Tree Hill reunion last weekend and the nostalgia is real

There was a One Tree Hill reunion last weekend and the nostalgia is real.

It’s been almost eight years since One Tree Hill came to an end – we know, we can’t quite believe it either.

The drama followed the lives (and extensive rivalry) between half-brothers Lucas and Nathan Scott as they vied for a spot on their high school’s basketball team.

As the show went on, the focus began to shift to the relationships, drama and the brothers’ day-to-day lives – and how they ultimately left their rivalry behind and formed a solid bond.

And on February 22nd, the cast came together at Tree Hill High once again for what looked like a really epic reunion.

“I got a job when I was 20 years old that gave me some of the most important relationships and experiences of my life,” Hilarie Burton Morgan, who played Peyton Sawyer, wrote alongside a series of photos from the convention.

“I didn’t take nearly enough pictures this weekend and didn’t get photo evidence of everyone, but I love @raenia23 at @fwbcharityevents for bringing us all together. Thick and thin, our shared history has been a cornerstone in my life. Love you guys.”

“What can I say that hasn’t been said… This is Tree Hill & it’s our home. Family Forever. #OTH Thank you @fwbcharityevents for an incredible weekend,” Chad Michael Murray, who played Lucas Scott, added alongside a photo of people who were in the pilot episode. “The joy that was spread was palpable. I love my crew. These humans are real deal Salt of the Earth.”

And it isn’t the first One Tree Hill reunion to take place this year.

Hilarie Burton Morgan, Sophia Bush and Bryan Greenberg had an adorable reunion at the Golden Globes – you can read more about that here.
