Kanye West and Kim Kardashian took a trip to Jerusalem this week, where they had their baby daughter North baptised.
But what’s actually capturing the media attention over in Jerusalem is the fact that the couple met with Jerusalem mayor Nir Barkat, who shared a photo of their meeting on his Facebook page.
The event was later covered by Orthodox website
Kikar HaShabbat, who decided to blur out Kim.
Although they first used a receipt to cover over the reality star’s face, the website later decided to keep her figure in the snap but to pixellate Kim’s face. The article also refused to name Kim, reffering to her as ‘singer Kanye’s wife’ in the piece.
When questioned about their decision, an editor for the site said Kim was cut out of the shot as she’s a "pornographic symbol" who contradicts the publication's conservative values.

According to
Yahoo, "within the insular Ultra-Orthodox community, pictures of women often aren't shown out of modesty."
