In recent years Lady Gaga has given Madonna a run for her money in the reinvention stakes, however the star appears to have stripped it all back to the basics.

Gaga graces the front cover of Elle magazine for their October issue and the singer isn’t propped against any overtly artistic background or donning any outrageous outfits.

The Fame singer has gone almost make up free, avant-garde shoot that shows of how beautiful she really is behind all the theatrics. 

Something tells us this look won't last too long.
