How cute it this?

We’ve heard a few royal nicknames before.

We know that Prince Philip calls his wife Cabbage, which is perfectly sweet.

And we also know that Prince George and Princess Charlotte call Prince Charles “Grandpa Wales”.

But we now know what the lovely Prince William called his grandmother, the Queen, as a child.

According to Richard Kay, columnist at the Mirror, Prince William used to call the Queen “Gary”.

Why?

Well apparently little William fell over in Buckingham Palace one day, and called out to his grandmother for attention.

But he couldn’t get the word granny out, and instead shouted “Gary, Gary” at Elizabeth II.

How cute is that?

Other members of the royal family also have nicknames for the monarch.

Princess Charlotte and Prince George call their great-grandmother “Gan Gan”, which is ADORABLE.

And interestingly, Prince Charles has a sweet nickname for his daughter-in-law, Meghan Markle.

Prince Charles often calls Meghan “Tungsten”, which means he thinks she’s “tough and unbending” like the strong metal.

Kate Middleton and Prince William have pet names for each other too,  often calling each other “babe” and “darling”.
