Princess Kate supporting Prince Harry with ‘late-night calls’

The Princess of Wales is reportedly trying to mend the rift between her husband, Prince William, and her brother-in-law Prince Harry.

According to reports, Princess Kate has been calling Prince Harry with the hope of resolving issues within the family. Kate and Prince Harry have been keeping in touch with "late-night calls", a source told Closer. Kate hopes the calls will "pave the way for long-term peace with the whole family" However, Prince William is not keen on speaking to his brother just yet. William has "made it very clear that he is not yet ready to sit down with Harry". The source added: "It means an awful lot to Harry that she continues to show support and especially during desperate times like this." Kate and Harry shared an incredibly strong bond before he stepped down as a senior royal in 2020. The source said Kate "feels very sorry" for her brother-in-law, especially after all he's been through in recent months. "Seeing him go through all these setbacks is very difficult to witness and it tugs at her heartstrings," they said. Royal author Robert Jobson also said Princess Kate is still rooting for Prince Harry.

He told The Express:

"I think the only person that is helping the situation is Catherine, who is doing a brilliant job.

"First of all when the king wants to see his grandchildren, for example, it's important to say that a lot of it has been through Catherine. But William and Harry, it's a difficult one."

"I think as brothers they are more likely to get on the phone and have a conversation."
