He was charged on Friday.

R. Kelly, whose real name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, has pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse charges, according to Associated Press.

His attorney, Steve Greenberg, entered the plea today and also told the judge that he has surrendered his passport.

A warrant for Kelly’s arrest was issued on Friday morning however, soon after the R&B star handed himself into officials in Cook County.

His bail has been set at $1 million, however the publication claims that he still remains in jail as his associates try to come up with the 10 percent needed to bail him out.

Associated Press reported that one of the 10 counts involves a video tape showing the singer having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

Two of the other women both met Kelly when they were 16-years-old, one of whom said she asked for the singer’s autograph while he was on trial in 2008 for another tape of a similar nature.

Kelly was acquitted of all charges during this trial.
