Royal insider on the ‘biggest clue’ to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s plans

Prince Harry is reportedly set to join Meghan Markle in Canada as early as next week.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their decision to "step back" from their roles as senior members of the royal family earlier this week. In the same lengthy announcement, they also revealed they were planning on splitting their time between the UK and North America. The couple are thought to have their sights set on Canada, especially after Meghan flew back there after the bombshell announcement. Their young son, Archie, had remained in Canada with Meghan's friend Jessica Mulroney and a nanny. According to The Daily Mail, Prince Harry is set to join them in Canada as early as next weekend - but "will certainly be within two weeks". Meghan, meanwhile, is said not to have a flight booked to return to London - and is reported to have no official engagements for the "foreseeable future." But it turns out there was a clue that hinted to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's plans: their dogs had travelled with them to Canada. Guy, the rescue dog that Meghan has owned since before she became a royal, flew out to Canada with the Sussexes in November; as did a female black Labrador, who is thought to be the dog Meghan and Harry adopted together. The beloved pooches staying in Canada, the source told the publication, "was the biggest clue, in hindsight, that they were unlikely to come back from this so-called holiday".

"Both the Duke and Duchess adore their dogs and Guy has already been relocated from Canada to London once when Meghan moved over," they continued. "She wouldn't have considered a move again for him if it wasn't going to be at least semi-permanent."
