The nickname palace staff have for Meghan.

Meghan Markle officially joined the royal family in May 2018 when she married Prince Harry with the couple now referred to as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

By all accounts, Meghan has brought a new lease of life to Kensington Palace and its surroundings as she has a very different way of doing things. 

According to reports, Meghan rises at 5 am every single morning and this is something which has shaken life up considerably for some of the royal staff.

In fact, one royal source says the former Suits star has had such a massive impact that she's been nicknamed 'Hurricane Meghan'.

The Mail on Sunday reports that the palace staff have never experienced such a "formidable work ethic" and it is not uncommon for the 37-year-old to send six or seven texts a day with ideas and requests of how she can shape and define her role as Duchess.

This way of doing things is at odds with the more formal attitude of some of the palace staff and of course, you can see why people might be finding it difficult to adjust.

It's a time of great change for the couple as it was reported last week that three of their close aides have recently departed and of course, this would allow for a period of change. Meghan is excepting the couple's first child with Kensington Palace confirming the due date is in spring of next year but it's clear that the 37-year-old plans to keep busy in the meantime.
