The Notebook actor is hoping to convince his girlfriend of five months to take the plunge and settle down with him.

According to reports the handsome 31 year old star is eager to walk down the aisle and start a family but Eva is known for not being keen on the idea of marriage.

Eva and Ryan started dating this year after meeting on a film set.

A source told National Enquirer magazine: “Ryan is head over heels in love with Eva and he wants to have a life with her, including children.”

The insider also said: “He is now confident when he pops the question she will say yes. Ryan wants children, as does Eva, but also believes in marriage and youngsters growing up knowing mommy and daddy are committed to each other.”
