“That’s why I had to break up, for the sake of my sanity,” she revealed in the extracts from her book that were printed in The Sun.

Looking back over their on and off again relationship she added: “I had to watch on national TV as Amy Willerton found any excuse to touch him, do trials with him and rub suntan cream into his back."

“I was at breaking point and my family were desperately worried for me. I fell into an exhausting obsession and ritual.
“It was only once I finally knew the relationship was over that I could see it for what it had really been,” she continued. “Made up of some good bits, but by and large fairly toxic.”
