Selma Blair shares Cruel Intentions throwback two decades after filming the iconic movie

What a throwback!

Oh, the 90s.

Still my favourite era for music, fashion and obviously, let’s not forget the movies.

When Harry Met Sally, 10 Things I Hate About You, Titanic, Pulp Fiction, Home Alone, Pretty Woman, Toy Story, the list goes on and on.

And on this list includes the 1999 hit, Cruel Intentions.

Starring Ryan Phillippe, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon, and Selma Blair, this film featured a pretty solid cast which led to it becoming such a staple film of the 90s.

Unlike a lot of the romantic dramas of the era, Cruel Intentions is more of a drama thriller (a little bit horror if you ask me) as it follows step-siblings Sebastian and Kathryn who make a bet on Sebastian bedding the headmaster’s daughter, Annette. However, in an unexpected turn of events, Sebastian falls truly in love with Annette.

But, I repeat, it’s not a romantic drama nor does it have a happy ending as such.

But anyways, marking the film 2 decades later, Selma Blair shared an image from the days on the set of Cruel Intentions to now, present-day working with the same director for her new flick After.

“Roger posted the unretouched version where you can see I am clearly 21 years older,” Selma wrote underneath the post.

The good news for you is if this post is giving you a major desire to watch the flick over the weekend then, good news – it’s on Netflix!

I’ll take my hat off and admit I watched it for the very first time last weekend – I know, I know.

But if for some crying shame you’re the same as me or, you want to rewatch it for the 4,352 time – it’s on the streaming service, folks!
