“She’s Kind. I Think She Has Spirit.” The Touching Story Of Jennifer Lawrence’s BFF

We’ve made no secret of the fact that we have a major girl-crush on Jennifer Lawrence here at Her.ie towers and, if anything, this heart-warming story about her BFF just makes us love her even more.

The Huffington Post reports that Jennifer has been best friends with Andy Strunk ever since they were students at Kammerer Middle School together.

What’s so great about this fact? Well, Andy has Down Syndrome and has praised Jen for the fact that she has never, ever treated him any differently.

“We are like best friends. She’s kind... I think she has spirit,” said Andy, speaking about his BFF.

Andy and Jennifer have been close friends for years and grew up in the same neighbourhood and Andy cites himself as being Jen’s biggest fan.  He follows every aspect of her career and says that she has never forgotten about him and always sends him little gifts in the post. Recently, she sent him an autographed Silver Linings Playbook poster.

But that’s not all. Jennifer has also made Andy’s dreams come true in the past by taking him to major movie events and posing with him on the red carpet.

Naturally, Andy was thrilled when his bestie scooped the Oscar for Best Actress at Sunday night’s Academy Awards ceremony.

“It’s the best night of my life!” said Andy, speaking to a local paper after Jennifer accepted her award.

We love that Jennifer is just a normal girl who doesn’t let her fame go to her head. Absolute legend.
