Jordin Sparks secretly married and she’s now expecting her first child

Double congratulations are in order.

Congrats to Jordin Sparks, she married in secret and is now expecting a baby. The former American Idol contestant wed Dana Isaiah, 25, in mid-July and confirmed to People this week that she's going to become a mum in the spring of 2018. “We’re both really excited,” she told the publication.

“He’s been like, ‘I want to shout it from the mountain tops!’ We’re really proud to be married to each other and to be celebrating this.” The pair first met in February of this year, after their mums added them both into a group chat. Dana, an aspiring model, wanted to pursue a career in LA, and text Jordin so see what the industry is like there.

“My mom was trying to get [Jordin] to talk me out of moving to LA because she’s experienced the industry out here,” he said. “It wasn’t like, ‘We want you guys to date.’” A few days after they met, Jordin said to herself, "I was like in my head ‘That’s going to be my husband! That’s my husband right there'."
