Shakira is clearly a very excited mum-to-be. The singer, who announced her pregnancy at the end of last month has now revealed what she is expecting.

During an interview with German television station RTL, the La Tortura songstress spilt the beans on the sex of her unborn baby.

The Columbian singer announced that she and her other half, Barcelona footballer Gerard Pique, are going to be welcoming a baby boy in six months’ time.

Shakira and Gerard have been together for two years.

While Gerard will most likely be hoping that his son will take to the pitch like his father, Shakira has said she wants him to change the world.

“When the baby is born I want him to know he’s helping to change the world. He can really change the world!” Nice to see that the 35-year-old isn’t setting the bar too high then!

The bundle of joy will be the couple’s first child together. Speaking about her beau of two years, Shakira said: “This man is the best thing that could have happened in my life. And now the baby!”
