Chelsea Clinton has announced she is expecting her first baby.
The only daughter of former President Bill Clinton and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton made the announcement while speaking at a women's event at the Lower Eastside Girls Club with her mother in Manhattan.
The excited mum-to- be announced her newest role at the end of the event, saying:
"Marc and I are very excited that we have our first child arriving later this year.
"And I certainly feel all the better whether it's girl or a boy that she or he will grow up in a world full of so many strong, young female leaders. So thank you for inspiring me and thank you for inspiring future generations."
Clinton who married Marc Mezvinsky in 2010, confirmed in an interview with Glamour magazine in October that they were trying for a family.
