Stacey Solomon leaves the house one month after after giving birth to son Rex

Stacey Solomon has revealed she has left the house for the first time, four weeks after giving brith.

The Loose Women presenter and her boyfriend, Joe Swash, welcomed their first child together - baby Rex - on May 23.

In a candid post on her Instagram earlier this week, the 29-year-old admitted she was scared to go outside with the newborn as he is "vulnerable" and it may be too "dirty".

She later updated her fans to tell them that her mum had popped by and forced her to take Rex out for a walk - and she's actually really happy she did. She posted a photo of herself holding Rex in a papoose, captioning it:

"We did it!!!! Yaaaay! Joe Joe left for a week away working this morning, then the boys went off to their daddy’s for the weekend. "So my mummy came over and dragged me out for an evening stroll! I’m so glad she did. I love the woods. I forgot how good they smell. That was just the best. "Everyone was right, I am now thinking I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner."

And while she was happy to have taken her son out for a walk, she did note there was one  thing that hadn't changed. She continued:

"But actually I’m so glad that we’ve been able to stay lost in our own world for the last 4 weeks and now I am excited to take Rex on adventures outside of our front room. "Today the woods opposite our house, tomorrow who knows!  Still haven’t managed to wear more than pyjamas though."
