He recalls one of his best shows ever in front of a Dublin crowd and talks I'm A Celeb.

After huge success in 2015, Brendan Cole’s latest theatre show is back and is coming to The Bord Gais Energy Theatre in April.

His latest show, A Night To Remember, is bigger and better than ever with an extended cast in this exciting new production.

Brendan is one of Strictly Come Dancing’s most charismatic choreographers and performers and he spoke to us about his new show saying, “You can expect a little bit of everything. It’s quite important for me that the show reflects the audience, from young, middle-aged and right up to the Grandparents.

“Musically we have a little bit of old, a little bit of new and the in-between. Dance-wise we’ve got pretty much everything you would expect to see on Strictly and even a little bit more.

“It has a phenomenal cast… just an out of this world cast. We have eight phenomenal dancers and fourteen musicians who are all on stage. The staging, the lighting and every detail, I kind of wanted to throw the kitchen sink at it and hopefully have this massive show that people will want to come out and see.”

“It’s a chance for people to see what they loved from Strictly, and see it first hand, up close and personal and really get a sense of the magic that you can’t always see on the TV. People are always excited to see it live.

“It’s not just a chat show, it’s not just a music show, it’s a variety show.”

When we asked him about what he likes most about performing in Ireland he said, “I have performed many times in Ireland. In fact, I think I may have been the first production that ever performed at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre. It was actually one of my  favourite nights, if not the best night of my performing life, in front of the Dublin crowd.

“I was on stage behind a screen and it was softly lit so you could see through it. The lights went down and the entire audience just gave this huge cheer and the entire band lifted and it was just the most incredible energy and feeling coming through them. The entire night was massive and the crowd were the best crowd that I’ve ever experienced in my life.”

Brendan is no stranger to reality shows having appeared on Love Island years ago, so when we asked about whether or not he would be interested in taking part in I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here he said:

I would consider something like I’m A Celeb because I like the show. I think it’s a fun show. My motto is ‘never say never’ and I know you can get into situations where you will be eating your own words but it would be a fun opportunity. Obviously, it runs parallel to Strictly so while I’m on that then there’s no chance of it but you never know. Strictly won’t go on forever.”

Watch this space in the future, we’d love to see him on I’m A Celeb.

In the meantime, we’re really looking forward to his new stage show,  A Night To Remember, which comes to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre for one night only on Sunday 3rd April.
