Taylor Swift has asked Matty Healy to work on her new album with her

Taylor Swift is not shy in recruiting her boyfriends to help out when it comes to writing music with her, and it appears that Matty Healy is no different.

When writing Folklore, Evermore and Midnights, Taylor enlisted the help of her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn to give her a hand at songwriting, using the alias William Bowery.

Now as she embarks on her relationship with The 1975 frontman, rumour has it that she has gotten him on board for her next album.

A music insider told The Sun: “Things are moving fast. They’re head over heels. It’s been decided he will help her pen songs and he might even provide some vocals.

“He’s been inspired after attending several shows on her US tour, but they won’t have a lot of time to work together this summer, as The 1975 also have their shows.”

“They are working things out, though, and are keen to make it happen. Ideally, he would like a proper collab, with the whole band involved. That’s the only way Matty will ever appear on stage with her. He feels he has to earn it.”

Here at Her, we’re hoping that means Taylor will be heading back to her 1989 era when she and Matty were first linked, and he’ll be appearing on a Vault song.

Harry Styles will also reportedly duet with the Grammy winner. It could be nothing more than Internet rumours and social media hopefuls, a viral tweet last week saw the possibility of Harry appearing on Style (Taylor’s Version), a song always rumoured to be about him.

The tweet read: “‘Style (Taylor’s Version) [Remix]’ seems to be co-owned by
@ColumbiaRecords, @sonymusic and @Harry_Styles, denoting that this will be a collaboration. The same dual trademark filing was used on ‘Gasoline ft. Taylor Swift’ as it was added to @HAIMtheband’s ‘W.I.M Pt. 3′”

Either way, it seems that Joe Alwyn won’t be the only boyfriend with an album credit…
