'Thank you from girls everywhere', fan says to Roz Purcell after her honest body post

The 28-year-old posted an up close picture of her stretch marks.

While most of us are tucked up next to the fire, Roz Purcell is catching a little winter sun and enjoying a holiday in Bali at the moment.

Yes, the model and cookbook author is giving us some serious holiday envy with some stunning pics of the tropical scenery in Indonesia.

In her latest snap, however, the brunette stunner chose to show off something that most of us would desperately try and hide – stretch marks.

I remember the first time I noticed my stretch marks probably like 11 or 12, I was like i don’t remember my cat scratching me ?. A few months of noticing more and more I was like this is so cool I have all these reptile markings no one else has & showing them off ? .As i grew up, went to secondary I realised it was something I shouldn’t think was so cool or show, no one in magazines had them I never noticed them on anyone else, it was not normal or considered beautiful. Even now it’s rare you see an unedited photo in a magazine I’m like how is that girls butt so smooth ?. It hasn’t been until now the past two years I can confidently walk passed someone in a bikini or shorts and not cringe inside thinking that they’re probably looking at all my stretch marks and cellulite. Maybe it’s age( most likely) but you realise if someone is doing that they’re 1. A nob 2. A nob. Stretch marks are normal, we all have them, big or small they’re part of me & they’re here to stay! Ps. Got a few replies on stories early like you know what you need to do to get rid of them ”x, y&z” sorry babes I don’t have time or the dedication to massage my but in some super oil for 30 mins before bed sure I’d slip out onto the floor? #stretchmarks #mybodyismine

Yep, you’d never think it, but just like the majority of people, Roz has stretch marks on her body. In her post, she shared two pictures in a bikini, including an up-close image of stretch marks on the side of her stomach and bum. She spoke honestly in a lengthy caption about how her attitude to them has changed over the years:

“I remember the first time I noticed my stretch marks probably like 11 or 12, I was like I don’t remember my cat scratching me. A few months of noticing more and more I was like this is so cool I have all these reptile markings no one else has & showing them off.

She added afterwards that people had written to her after publishing the post suggesting ways to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and cellulite to which she fabulously replied:

“I don’t have time or the dedication to massage my but in some super oil for 30 mins before bed sure I’d slip out onto the floor.”

And this isn’t the first time Roz has been real about her body on social media. She has posted many ‘Instagram vs Reality’ shots in the past to highlight that the version many people portray online is merely a polished persona.

Reminder that this is the highlight reel ??? We see one angle & usually with the best light. It’s human nature to pick the best picture of ourselves & for a split second seeing the second one I’m like ”delete that”? but I’m ok with having my little dimples and rolls it’s real life & I’ve never been happier. I’m aware my back isn’t perfect but it doesn’t stop me wearing a bikini & not giving a ***k, I used to cringe thinking people we’re looking and focusing on it like I did & hated wearing swimwear, but if they do look and judge it’s really their own problem. Ps. 99% of all pics taken in the sea look like no.3?? that tide was strong ? All pics taken on an iPhone & I used vsco v5 ❤️

Fair play to Roz! Her post is a necessary reminder to us girls that literally everyone has stretch marks, they’re just a sign of growth. The comments on her post were similarly uplifting, with one woman saying:

“Thank you for this from ladies and girls everywhere.”
