The Graham Norton show last night saw Irish band U2 feature as one of the hit presenter’s guests.
Norton began with making a skit of all the fashion errors the band have made over the years before asking the question that has been on many people’s lips – why exactly does Bono always wear sunglasses?!
In response, the Irish singer explained that he has good reason to wear shades.
“This is a good place to explain to people that I’ve had glaucoma for the last 20 years,” the singer revealed. “I have good treatments and I am going to be fine. You’re not going to get this out of your head now and you will be saying, ‘Ah poor old blind Bono’.”
The band were guests on the popular show to promote the release of their new album Songs of Innocence and were featured along with Robert Downey Jr., Stephen Fry and Robert Duvall.
