This is adorable.

This is adorable.

Suits actor Patrick J Adams and Pretty Little Liars’ Troian Bellisario tied the knot last weekend in an incredible outdoor fort themed wedding.

If you’ve been obsessing over the photos since you first saw them you’re not alone.

The wedding was packed full of cute details like camp forts for all their guests and a fairy-lit outdoor dinner.

While the fort theme was amazing, we couldn’t help but wonder they chose this specific theme and what ‘Fort Day’ really meant.

Now Troian has explained the very specific theme in great detail and it makes us love these two together even more.

In an Instagram post about their big day, Troian posted a photo of the newly-weds lying on the top of a campervan which had the words Fort Day written on it.

Fortday

”We were tired and overworked and just wanted to have some peace and quiet. So he invited me over to his apartment where he had built us a pillow fort. He stapled sheets and Christmas lights to the ceiling. We shut the door to the world outside. We didn’t answer our phones. And over pancakes and movies.”

”Long late night conversations and sleep. we got to know each other a little better. That was the first “Fort Day”. Each year after that our fort got a little bigger until 3 years ago our fort was a brand new home. Our first that we bought together. And in the still and the quiet of that “fort day” he asked me to marry him.”

”Well, this year it wasn’t about peace and quiet. Two days ago we decided to make the biggest fort we could dream of and we asked all our friends and family to come in it. Tents and talent shows. Food trucks and fires. Kids screamed “I love fort day!” before jumping into the pool. I can’t believe something small between friends could be accepted and embraced by so many people that mean so much to us. And what that said to me was that any of the tough times we’ve had making 8 years of long distance work was worth it. The pining. The missing. The quiet nights alone believing that it would be worth it. We were right to believe in us. And not only did we believe @halfadams but everyone around us did too.#fortday2016.”

I can’t be the only one welling up after reading that?

Patrick posted a similar message on his Instagram using the same photo.

”8 years ago we built a pillow fort in my old apartment and started a conversation that has grown into a whole life.”

”It was just a quiet shared idea that became a yearly tradition. This year we invited some more people. A lot more. And we made a wedding out of it. Three perfect days with friends and family. Kids screaming and laughing in the pool shouting “Fort Day” at the top of their lungs. Our incredible tribe lifting us up the same way they have for so many years. It’s impossible to put into words how it all felt. Filled with so much gratitude that I’m lucky enough to have married my best friend. Love you@sleepinthegardn – can’t wait to see what happens next. ”
