Much has been made of the likeness between Princess Diana and her granddaughter princess Charlotte, more on that here, but it has to be said that there's also likeness between Diana and her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. This side by side snap of Diana and Harry really shows the similarities between them and it's heartbreaking considering Harry lost his mum at such a young age. Diana was killed in a car crash in 1997 when her sons were aged 15 and 12 and understandably, it was a hugely traumatic event for both men. Both William and Harry previously spoke at length about their mum in interviews for a documentary that marked the twentieth anniversary of their mum's death. For Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy, both William and Harry talked about the last time they spoke to their mum. William explained that the brothers were playing with their cousins at the time and the conversation was quite rushed.

“Harry and I were in a desperate rush to say goodbye, you know ‘see you later’… If I’d known now obviously what was going to happen, I wouldn’t have been so blasé about it and everything else.”

Harry also spoke about the last time he spoke with his mother, saying:

“It was her speaking from Paris, I can’t really remember what I said but all I do remember is probably regretting for the rest of my life how short the phone call was.”
