Tracy Clifford is ‘okay with whatever life brings’ after endometriosis diagnosis

Tracy Clifford has opened up about living with endometriosis

The host and her fiancé Mark had been trying for a baby for some time before she was diagnosed with endometriosis.

Tracey and her partner were trying IVF but realised why it wasn't working for them after she received her diagnosis.

Tracy went public with her stage three silent endometriosis diagnosis in 2023.

Tracy Clifford said she has now accepted the fact that she may not become a mum.

She told the RTÉ Guide that she is now at a stage of "being okay with whatever life brings."

"If it works out that we have a family, great, but if it doesn’t then we will be very happy with our life as well.

"There are things that happen, over which you have no control, but I’ve always tried to live in the moment."

Being diagnosed with endometriosis was a "relief" for Tracy because she finally knew the reason why IVF wasn't working.

"It was such a relief to know at last that there was a medical reason as to why the IVF wasn’t working. Here was the missing piece after so many years of trying.

"Naturally, you tend to blame yourself, wondering what is wrong with you or your partner. But I’ve since learned that one in 10 Irish women have endometriosis, which affects not only fertility but mental health and so much more," she added.

The presenter has been praised for being so open and honest about her fertility journey. There's no doubt her honesty will resonate with many others.
